ICE RAY Morning Elite Development Program 2026–2027 Our most popular morning program is back. Last season, all spots were filled — and this year we are opening registration for new players who want to train with purpose before school. This is not a “large group” practice. This is a high-intensity development program built for players who want to improve fast, correctly, and with individual attention. Maximum 6 players per coach. That is the biggest difference. Every player gets feedback, corrections, and coaching throughout the entire session. The program focuses on the key skills that translate directly into games: 🔹 Powerskating Explosive first 2–3 steps, edge control, acceleration, crossovers, transitions, balance, body position, and game-speed skating with and without the puck. 🔹 Puck Control Handling the puck at speed, in tight areas, under pressure, with head up. We work on deception, body fakes, hand fakes, and confidence with the puck. 🔹 Passing & Decision-Making Forehand and backhand passing, passing in motion, receiving under pressure, quick puck movement, and making better decisions faster. 🔹 Shooting Quick release, shooting in stride, snap shot, backhand, accuracy, power, and developing a scoring mentality. 🔹 Battle Skills & Puck Protection Players will learn how to win 1-on-1 battles, protect the puck with their body, use proper angles, escape pressure, and create an extra 1–2 seconds on the ice to make the right play. At Ice Ray Hockey Academy, we believe development happens through details, intensity, and individual correction. Every drill has a purpose. Every repetition matters. Many players who have trained with us have progressed to top-level teams in Canada and Russia. Our goal is simple: help players become faster, smarter, stronger, and more confident on the ice. 📅 Block 1: 9 sessions 📍 Location: RINX Arena (65 Orfus Rd) ⏰ Time: 6:45–7:45 AM 📆 Start Date: September 9, 2026 👥 Age Group: Players born 2012–2016 🎁 Each player receives an Ice Ray jersey, hoodie, and hat. The program is led by Coach Daniel Ershov, bringing experience from the Russian National Team program, KHL, and elite player development in Canada. Spots are limited. We don't believe talent is enough. We believe details make the difference. Our mission is to teach players the habits, techniques, and game details that help them play faster, make smarter decisions, and perform with confidence when the game matters most.
